Introduction

This is an intermediate level of English test conducted by Cambridge ESOL. This above the ‘survival level’ but much within the everyday life situation faced at work, home & leisure situations. Preliminary English Test is a stepping stone to get your First Certificate in English. The PET level would be considered adequate for most students moving to UK to undertake their Under Graduate(first degree) qualification.

PET clarifies that the use of language in real life, such as understanding signs and announcements, and is accepted by many employers as proof of ability to use English in clerical, secretarial or managerial jobs. It is also widely accepted for use in jobs where spoken English is necessary such as tourism, retail, construction, manufacturing and engineering.

The Details of the Test

The test can be taken as a paper based exam or a computer based exam. The paper based exams are held at regular intervals 6 times a year. While the Computer based exams are available on a monthly basis at a Computer Based Test Centers.

THE CUE EDGE

Study Material - CUE English India has developed Audio Visual training material that can help prepare for the PET exam. These resources used in combination with the PET Information for candidates and some daily practice will ensure high scores in KET Examination. The material can be sourced from our nearest Learning Center at Rs.700/- per student.

Student Coaching – CUE English has established a wide and diverse network of Learning centers across India, so that you can enroll yourself and be guided to prepare for the KET exam.
